Final Fantasy
It is time for you to build up your own photographic series. A final series is mandatory to access to the exam.
In the absence of a final series you will be postponed to the next exam session.
The final grade is based 50% on the effort shown during the course (attendance, commitment and completion of assignments) and 50% on your final photographic series. The quality of the works is also important for the final evaluation.
By photographic series we mean a set of coherent images. A set of minimum nine images linked together by a common topic/theme or a common language or a common idea/concept or both of them all. The format is open.
Your final series must have photography at its core, but you may use a range and/or mixture of storytelling approaches and/or photographic methods. All the languages are accepted: from photojournalism to documentary photography, from still life to portraits, from fashion to street photography, from conceptual to abstract photography.
You series can be made of (but not limited to) single images, polyptychs, multiple exposure images, photographic collages, alternative or experimental image processing, photo-centered web-based projects or mixed medias (photography&painting, photography&text, photography&graphic elements, etc.).
The more your series is personal, relevant and original, the better is. Work on a topic/theme that truly interest you.
Each element of the series should be appropriate and able to create a dialogue with the others; like the notes of a musical composition, or the words of a poem.
The final series must have a title and an introduction text/synopsis in which you present and explain your topic/theme/idea/concept, your approach and your process/practice.
The final series have to be in a pdf format (vertical or horizontal), but also you must save all the single pages of the pdf in separate jpeg files. You will upload both pdf and jpeg files in a folder with your name_title on Google Drive Final Fantasy folder.
Thank you
